Efficiency Measurement of Health Care Systems
One focus of our research is on health economics, including the following questions:
- How can we enhance effectiveness, efficiency and financial sustainability of our health care systems?
- What can be learned from comparisons of different health care systems?
- How can we actually measure and compare productivity and efficiency of health care providers and systems?
- What are the potentials of inter-regional and international trade of health services?
Our expertise is based on comprehensive studies on the efficiency of German hospitals (»HospiMark) and international comparisons of the efficiency on health care systems.
