Internet Issues

In the last 20 years, the information technology revolution – especially the internet – has deeply changed economic, social and political terms around the world. The internet has widened and spread business opportunities and changed everyday life in an unimagined manner.

The internet revolution will continue to have a huge impact on almost every dimension of human interaction – let it be individual, economic, social or political. In order to benefit ftom the huge potentials of modern ICTs we need massive investment in broadband infrastructure, further incentives to innovate and an appropriate political and regulatory setting. Together with our partners, we conduct studies on these issues and are highly involved in the political debate on Internet regulation on the European level.

The Internet Blog "Netissues.eu" is dedicated to an open and well-founded discussion on how the internet will change working environments, production and consumption patterns, communication habits and other aspects of our lives. We invite academics, decision makers and other experts in the field of ICT to discuss these issues, from a technical and/or economic perspective and within a broader framework.
